Paige designed this study to assess how Paige Breast Lymph Node, an AI application for detecting breast cancer metastases in lymph node tissue, could impact pathologist efficiency and accuracy. Notoriously a time-consuming yet critical task, lymph node assessment was completed first without the assistance of AI, then supported by Paige AI to measure how AI might enhance practice. 

The study found that:

• Paige Breast Lymph Node offered overall efficiency gains of 55% 
• Paige Breast Lymph Node showed a negative predictive value of 94.9%, demonstrating that a high level of trust can be placed on a benign prediction by Paige BLN in practical, everyday use
